It was an interesting weekend. Friday and Saturday brought us sizzling-hot temperatures and high humidity. The high Friday was 92 degrees and hit 93 on Saturday. Saturday's 93 came up just one degree short of the record high of 94 set in 1994. Late Saturday night, rain developed and continued into Sunday morning. Some of the rain was quite heavy and caused some minor flooding in a few locations. Although the heat and heavy rain were somewhat noteworthy, that type of weather is not particularly unusual.
